Upcoming Prenatal Workshops
Birth Partner Preparation
Partners deserve to feel confident and prepared when entering the birth space. We will review various ways to support someone mentally, emotionally, and physically during labor as well as what is often not helpful. We will also do some hands-on practice and role-play different scenarios. Partners are highly encouraged to join this workshop!
This workshop will be led by Deena Ferron of Golden Thread Doulas.
Herbal Support in the Childbearing Year
Join us in this DIY workshop to learn how to use plant medicine during your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
This workshop will be led by Molly Vang of Golden Thread Doulas.
What Happens When… Interventions & What Ifs
If you are birthing in a hospital setting, you have likely heard the term “cascade of interventions.” It is incredibly helpful to learn ahead of time what interventions you are likely to come across and how you might navigate situations when they are suggested or necessary. In this workshop, we will explore everything from continuous fetal monitoring to Cesarean surgery, discussing pros, cons, and alternatives.
This workshop will be led by Natasha Hagen of Golden Thread Doulas.
Babywearing with Confidence
Babywearing for the first time, or trying out new carriers/wraps (there are soo many out there now), can sometimes feel overwhelming and intimidating. Learning different features, tips and tricks, and having help putting them on with or without your baby can be so valuable in feeling more comfortable and confident wearing your baby. It can also be helpful in deciding which carrier or wrap may be best for you before investing.
This workshop includes hands-on demos to see how different carriers and wraps work, their benefits, and trying them on for yourself!
This workshop will be led by guest Brianna Yost of Imprint Birth, sharing her wealth of knowledge as a doula, student midwife, and babywearing mom of four.
Crafting Your Birth Plan
Why write a birth plan? Creating a birth plan is an educational opportunity. Trauma is the result of unmet expectations. Learning about and investigating your options ahead of time can go a long way in setting expectations. Writing a birth plan is an important process that can give you - and your partner - confidence in both your decisions and your voice.
In this workshop, we will discuss how to get started on your plan, how to organize it, and how to use it as a communication tool with your provider. You will also receive exclusive handouts to guide your process.
This workshop will be led by Natasha Hagen of Golden Thread Doulas.
Physiologic & Holistic Stages of Labor
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
